Riposte solution

The server requires a secure (encrypted) connection for this operation. If you attempted to connect without SSL/TLS, the server is refusing it. With Riposte, always use secure connections for IMAP (Riposte's config should have secure: true for the account). Make sure the account in Riposte is configured to use SSL/TLS on the IMAP port. Once you connect securely, this error will not occur.
